Studio Lighting 101

I'm excited to announce that I've decided that I would like to start teaching photography! My first class will be in San Antonio at 403 Dawson Street, San Antonio, TX 78202 on December 5th from 1pm-3pm with a specialization on studio lighting using off camera flash. This will include setups starting with 1 light and go as far as even up to 5 lights! I will go into detail about when to use 1 light and go over situations in which using more lights helps.



I've always felt that lighting is one of those things you can't just watch a tutorial on, you need to get your hands on the equipment and put it to good use. The tough thing is that it's not easy to rent a studio and do this, luckily you'll have me there to show you my favorite lighting setups! At the class, I plan on spending the first part of the class going over equipment, rules about lighting, but after that it's all hands on, so bring your camera and your favorite lenses. Additionally, there will be a model present for you to practice the techniques on.
